Do you have your own domain, but your team doesn't use email addresses at it? You can set up everyone on your team to have an email address at your company domain without requiring them to change a thing. Don't own your own domain at all? For ~$10 a year, you could. Total cost for everyone to have their own email address at your company domain, $10. Appearing professional, unified, together, well you-know. The ScenarioWe work primarily with manufacturers reps, agencies that can be 100s-of-people or just a loose affiliation of sub-reps sharing each others' lines. Mostly in the latter case, and smaller agencies all-around, we do still run into those that do not use a unifying domain to keep all of their colleagues with the same customer-facing, consistent branding of their emails. Maybe Bob likes (and has always used) his [email protected], and Sally has so many years of email history in here [email protected] account. Neither will have to change anything they do, they will just now start receiving their [email protected] and [email protected] emails in the same place(s) they always have. And better yet, they can send emails from those addresses as well -- still in the same apps they use now. The SetupWhat we do is use a mail-forwarding service, such as the free one at Cloudflare (same place we picked up our $10 company domain). Forward [email protected] to [email protected], and [email protected] to [email protected]. They now receive emails to their company address in the same places they have always gotten them. Next, Bob and Sally will just add an email alias to their existing services, which is the (optional) step that allows emails to be sent out from their company email addresses... They can still send from their existing addresses, this step just adds another option to send out from the company address (all the emails are exactly the same, and still in the same Sent Items as before). Each service has slightly different steps: Get the IT Person Involved? The links above do have all the steps you need to complete this task, but it does feel good to have a little support ready to assist. Your regular IT person should be able to complete this task in under an hour -- that includes helping Bob and Sally walk through the steps for sending emails as well. Are you a manufacturers rep and need a little help getting this going? Feel free to reach out, as we are happy to get you going whether you use any of our other services or not.
